ANTI STRESS TRAINING OF TRAINERS IN KONJIC

A line of exercises, a line of creative expression, a line of proper breathing, a line of conversation and a line of laughter. This would be a short description of a three-day anti stress training of trainers (TOT) for pedagogues from Herzegovina-Neretva Canton from 10 schools that was organised by TPO Foundation in Konjic on February 22-24, 2017. In order to treat adequately the challenges they are faced with in their everyday work, pedagogues must develop the protection mechanisms and find proper response to stressful situations. In accordance with that the response was provided within this very training.
The present pedagogues under the supervision, lectures and exercises by psychiatrist Amra Delic, who works at the Clinic of psychiatry and psycho- therapy at the Medical School Greifswald in Germany and she is also a research fellow of EU Marie Sklodowska Curie Action "Children born of war", had an opportunity to learn about techniques and ways of dealing with stress that is an everyday companion regardless of job nature within this three-day anti stress training of trainers in Konjic. Visualisation of a safe place, exercises of proper breathing, a cocktail of laughter, drawing of Nixon's stress curve were some of exercises that the participants did to see what their stressors were, how to recognise them and how to deal with them.

The training was organised within the project Prevention and Reduction of Peer and Gender based Violence at School implemented by TPO Foundation and these activities are the proof of how important it is for people, who work daily with children and face various challenges, to be prepared to treat the challenges clearly and properly.
